Berkeley Business Park Associates II, L.C. and the Shockey Companies proudly welcomes two new tenants at Shockey Commerce Center. West Virginia Economic Development has leased a 375 square foot office, and Cornerstone Solutions now occupies a 183 square foot office in place of Jackson-Pierce.

08/14/12  Blue Ridge College Continues Growth

Blue Ridge College has completed construction of its new facility on Apple Harvest Drive in Martinsburg, West Virginia and will soon welcome students. The college's technical center campus at Berkeley Business Park recently secured 5,026 square feet of additional space on the property for storage needs.

08/14/12  W&W Railroad Christens New Rail Line

Winchester & Western Railroad proudly introduced its new rail line. The 1.25 mile spur has a 205 foot train trestle across U.S. Route 11 in Pikeside, West Virginia and connects the Essroc Cement plant to the tracks, running from Winchester, Virginia to Hagerstown, Maryland.

Quad Graphics continues to grow, expanding to Winchester, Virginia. The Stine Lane property is currently being renovated by The Shockey Companies to better suit the needs of the continuously growing company.

A division of Winchester & Western Railroad is expanding with an office at the Berkeley Business Park in October. The Winchester based company hopes the move will make their work with Essroc more timely and efficient.

10/17/11  OWPR Architects & Engineers Opens Martinsburg Office

Blacksburg, VA based OWPR opened a satellite office at Berkeley Business Park in June. The firm hopes to cater to area clients more efficiently with their staff alternating time in the new office.

08/01/11  Blue Ridge CTC Adds Additional Classrooms

Blue Ridge College continues to accommodate its rising number of students with approximately 11,000 additional square feet of new space at Berkeley Business Park. The expansion includes instruction space for engineering, mechatronics, allied health and distance learning, among others.

With the closure of its New York facilities, Quad Graphics continues to expand in the Martinsburg, West Virginia area, adding an additional 99,000+ square feet at Shockey Commerce Center in June of 2011.

05/18/11  75 jobs coming to Berkeley County

Hollingsworth Logistics has secured more than 300,000 square feet of warehouse space and 250 trailer spaces at Shockey Commerce Center and will bring at least 75 jobs to the county. With a contract from the Federal Government, they will provide support services in equipment and maintenance for the Postal Service.

Chris McIntosh, Hollingsworth project manager and human resources director, credited local leaders for helping with this decision. "Our company found everything we needed and more. After an extensive search, we concluded Berkeley County was the clear choice for this new facility. We are looking forward to a successful and rewarding operation here," McIntosh said in a news release. "The support we have received from the folks at Shockey, the Development Authority and the team at WorkForce West Virginia made our decision easy."

Blue Ridge CTC's tech center at Berkeley Business Park, in Martinsburg, plans a nearly 11,000 sq. ft. expansion which would add additional classrooms and restroom facilities. The goal is for the addition to begin this spring.

Quad Graphics, after the purchase of World Color, has expanded their warehousing space in Shockey Commerce Center to 415,000 square feet from 99,000.

H.P. Hood, one of the country's largest branded dairy operators, is now running continuous, 24-hour shifts at their Winchester, Virginia facility.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products has temporarily added an additional 300,000 square feet of warehousing space to their operations at Shockey Commerce Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

07/20/10  Quad Graphics Completes Purchase of World Color in Martinsburg.

The transaction, completed last month, employs 30,000 employees and is a publicly traded company manufacturing literature such as books and retail inserts. Wisconsin-based Quad Graphics is currently the largest privately held printer in the United States.

07/20/10  Shockey Companies Eyes New Inland Port

The Winchester, Va. based Shockey Companies announces its response to a Request for Interest to develop/operate the proposed inland port at Martinsburg's Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport and other sites around the county. Once certified, the inland port district aims to boost commercial and industrial development by serving as a port of entry for imported goods, with full-time Customs inspectors stationed at the airport.

A new flavor has been added to the Blue Ridge CTC campus at Berkeley Business Park. Completed on December 30th, the Culinary Arts area houses a classroom, commercial kitchen and serving area for students and staff.

Royce Too has acquired additional warehouse space at Shockey Commerce Center in Martinsburg. The 161,000 sq. ft. area is expected to house a distribution center for their growing business with the acquisition of the Dickies Apparel line.

Essroc Cement Corporation is utilizing three acres at Berkeley Business Park on Route 11 South in Martinsburg. The additional land at the former Corning Glass facility lends the needed rail access for the expediting of shipping and receiving of its product.

The offices at Shockey Commerce Center welcomes the Community Alternatives to Violence, a non-profit organization geared toward the rehabilitation of violent and/or abusive persons through specialized counseling and employment programs.

08/25/09  Blue Ridge CTC Expansion Complete

A 7,060 square foot expansion for Blue Ridge CTC is now complete at the Berkeley Business Park campus. The addition has created several more classrooms for the school. Future plans for the college are attempts to create a culinary arts course at the site.

The weatherization division of the Eastern WV Community Action Agency is now established at Shockey Commerce Center in Martinsburg.

The WV Weatherization Dept. is preparing to move into their new space on the north side of the Shockey Commerce Center. The newly renovated area includes several offices and two warehouse spaces to house their weatherization inventory.

A portion of Blue Ridge College, located at Berkeley Business Park on Route 11 South in Martinsburg, is scheduled for completion on July 31st. The expanded area will house several additional learning classrooms.

02/10/09  Blue Ridge Technical College to bid on land in new industrial park

The college is hoping to move its main campus to the future Tabler Station Industrial Park. The site is situated less than a mile from the Blue Ridge college campus at the Berkeley Business Park facility.

01/15/09  DirecTV renovating space at Berkeley Business Park

A new and larger space is currently being renovated for Berkeley Business Park facility tenant, DirecTV. The space aims to lend a more efficient work setting for DirecTV's Berkeley County office staff and their needs. The new space is scheduled for a March completion.

The space that previously housed AB&C Company in Shockey Commerce Center is now available for lease. The warehouse area includes offices, restrooms, and dock doors and lends approximately 800,000 square feet. CSX rail into the building is also available.
